Membership

The Humboldt Moot Association owes its existence to its members. All friends and especially all alumni of the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin Teams are warmly welcome to join. We could not reach all former Humboldt mooties when the Association was founded, but we hope to reach out to more past mooties by this homepage. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

It is the concept of the Association to facilitate the participation of the students by the involvement of its members and board as well as by subsidising the team's expenses through funding by sponsors and membership fees. The main concern is to reduce the self-contribution of the students to an amount which is affordable to everybody.

This means every member has the chance to pass on what he or she got out of the moot themselves to later generations. In particular the current team is offered the opportunity to join an "inverse generation-contract" and to become a supporter after having been supported by the Association.

Next to this, we invite our members to regular meetings allowing them to stay in contact over a few drinks. The Association's ordinary General Meeting is usually held in the first half of the winter semester. The invitation is published here in advance.
