Maximilian Brückner

5th semester; law studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin including Spanish civil law course (Derecho Mercantil). Participation in East-West Seminar Riga-Berlin. Student assistant at an Accounting Firm in the Risk Management Department. Delegate at Harvard Model United Nations Conference. Stays abroad in USA, Korea, Spain. Fluent English, advanced knowledge in Spanish and French. Passion for tennis, travelling and cooking.

Nanxi Ding

5th semester; law studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin with focus on intellectual property law. Legal studies in the fields of Englisch Constitutional Law and Chinese Law. Participation in a workshop on “transactions”. Internship in the legal department of Audi. Assisting coordinator for an educational project of Volkswagen in China. Fluent in Chinese, English, advanced knowledge in French and basic knowledge in Japanese. Two times award winner in the piano competition “Jugend musiziert”.  Passion for hiking, mountaineering, traveling and cooking.

Philipp Alexander Hülse

3rd semester; law studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin with foreign legal studies in American Law. Participation in three UN- and EU-simulations in Berlin and Istanbul as well as in a Summer School by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung concerning "Germany and the US - a partnership and its practical tests". Fellowship holder of "Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes". Member of "Berlin Debating Union". Stays abroad in Saudi Arabia, Canada and France. Fluent in English, good knowledge in French, basic knowledge in Chinese, possesses the Latinum. Plays the piano and the clarinet, participated twice in "Jugend Musiziert". Former fellowship holder of a preparatory studies program for correpetition. Enthusiastic long distance runner.

Tun de Jong

3rd semester; law studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin with foreign legal studies in French Law and a course on International Criminal Justice. Year abroad in the United States. Participant of the 15th International Summer School on Dispute Resolution organized by Tulane University and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Fluent in Luxembourgish, German, French and English; good knowledge of Spanish. Plays golf and percussion.

Luise Kixmöller

3rd semester; law studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin as well as studies of American Contract and Constitutional Law with "Fremdsprachliches Rechtsstudium". Participant of the East-West network Berlin-Tiflis. Stay abroad as host student in the U.S.A on a fullride scholarship from the German Parliament in coorporation with the US Congress (PPP). Certificates of the IB Diploma Programme in English Higher Level and History Higher Level in addition to the German "Abitur". Since 2010 holder of the President´s Volunteer Service Award of the U.S.A. for extracurricular voluntary work. Fluent in english, basic knowledge of French and Spanish, Latinum. Very interested in culture, foreign countries and people. Loves sports, especially ballet and field hockey.

Zakya Mzee

3rd semester; law studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Participated in the program “Studying at 16” at TU Berlin, taking classes in Private Law and Labor Law. Participation in a seminar on “International Sales Law and Arbitration”. Fluent in English, basics knowledge of French, qualification in Latin. Interested in art, traveling and literature. She writes for the literature page of a newspaper and works for an art association.

Sebastian Naturski

3rd semester; law studies at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin taking foreign language law courses in English and French; participation in the seminar "International Sales Law and Arbitration". Student assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Dr. Grundmann, LL.M (Berkeley). Studied Business Administration at the University of Mannheim for 3 semesters; took an internship at a startup company; was an exchange student at a Japanese high school for 6 months; took a gap year after finishing A-levels to do voluntary work at an old people`s home in Japan. Speaks English, Japanese and Polish fluently, advanced skills in French, possesses the Latinum. Loves doing sports, particularly jogging, swimming and weight training. Plays the piano, is interested in languages, travelling, different cultures and mentalities.

Sonja Elisabeth Quitmann

7th semester; law studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin specializing in ‘European and International Private and Business Law / Market Regulation and Contract Law’. Year abroad at the University of Copenhagen, studies of European and International Law with focus on Contract and Commercial Law. Participation in a tutorial concerning Negotiation and Mediation; completed course of Transnational Litigation and Commercial Arbitration. Internship with Swedish law firm Mannheimer Swartling in Berlin. Fluent in English, advanced knowledge in Spanish, basic knowledge in Danish and Swedish. Interested in travelling, sports and Scandinavian culture.

Annabelle Möckesch

Annabelle Möckesch, LL.M. (Coach)

Annabelle Möckesch studied at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the University of Barcelona, and the London School of Economics and Political Science. She worked as an intern at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris and as Assistant Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague. She is a member of the International Max Planck Research School on „Successful International Dispute Resolution“ in Heidelberg where she researches on “Attorney-Client Privilege in International Commercial Arbitration.” In addition to coaching the Moot Team, she is a legal trainee at the Kammergericht Berlin and works part-time in the litigation group of a German corporate law firm.

Stephan Rauch

Stephan Rauch (Coach)

Law studies at Universität Leipzig, Stockholms Universitet and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Participated in the 19th/9th Willem C. Vis Moot Court. Further participations in several seminars and conferences on Competition and IP Law; i.e. at the European University Institute in Florence and the Haim Striks School of Law in Israel. Assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Augenhofer, LL.M. (Yale). Internships with leading business law firms in Stockholm and Berlin as well as at various courts. Ran the 2012 Berlin Marathon and has received awards for his social and cultural commitment. Speaks English, Spanish, Swedish; qualification in Latin.

Robert Nachama

Robert Nachama (Coach)

Rechtsanwalt and Solicitor (England and Wales). Doctoral student at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Several years of experience as a finance and restructuring attorney with the law firms of Clifford Chance and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Trained, inter alia, at the arbitration unit of the German Federal Ministry of Justice. Studied German Law at Freie Universität Berlin, English Law and American Law at Humboldt-Universität, financial management at the University of London and philosophy at FernUniversität in Hagen. Participant of the 10th Willem C. Vis Moot for Humboldt-Universität. Founding board member of the Humboldt Moot Association e.V. Native in German and English. Basic knowledge of Turkish, Hebrew and French.

Rechtsanwalt (Attorney at Law) and managing director of the Institute for the Legal Profession at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. In charge of the Humboldt-Universität’s Willem C. Vis Moot program since the inaugural participation in the 6th Willem C. Vis Moot (1998/1999).
